Make Me Sin by J.T. Geissinger
I had planned to do a review of the entire Bad Habit series as a whole once I finish it, but this book just took me on such an emotional roller coaster ride that I had to give it its own review.
We met our main characters, Chloe and AJ, in book one of the series. AJ’s instant and intense dislike of Chloe in that book intrigued me, and I was excited to get to dive further into that dynamic here in book 2.
Chloe and AJ could not be more different; she is light and sweet and lovely, he is dark and brooding and growly. The insta-hate that AJ has for Chloe is of course just a way to keep her at arm’s length because we know he’s falling for her. But the big question is why? Why not pursue the smart, beautiful woman we know he actually really likes??
The answer to that question will take you on an emotional ride that will tear your heart to pieces, throw it on the ground, and light it on fire as the truth about AJ, his past and his present, comes to light. He is a beautiful, broken man, and Chloe is the perfect woman to help him heal.
This book kept me up late, and almost made me late for work as I just HAD to finish it up before I went in. It also gave me a tremendous book hangover, and I’m still feeling the effects a couple of days later. I really never wanted it to end, I just wanted to stay with AJ and Chloe forever.
I listened to this on audio, which I highly recommend. Teri Clark Linden and Sebastian York did a phenomenal job with the narration. And though I originally got this title thru Kindle Unlimited (with free audio thru Audible), I ended up buying both when I finished the book because I just know it’s going to be a frequent reread.
