August Pre-Orders

I don’t normally do a ton of pre-orders, mostly because I’m a mood-based reader and I never know what will catch my interest next. But there are certain authors and certain series that are insta-buys for me.

This month I have two books ordered thru my local indie bookstore (the river’s end bookstore) but they aren’t being released until the very last day of the month – because of course they aren’t. <pout>

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang is book three in The Kiss Quotient series. I loved the first book so much I think I’ve read it four times already, and the second book was nearly as good. It seems like I have been waiting FOREVER for this next book, but I guess I can be patient for a few more weeks. Maybe.

Take Me With You When You Go by David Levithan and Jennifer Niven is my second pre-order for this month. I haven’t read much by Levithan but Niven’s 2020 book Breathless completely broke me. Seriously. I cried like a baby and was completely unable to pick up another book for over a week after. It still sits with me in the occasional quiet moment. Or when Three Dog Night’s “Joy to the World” comes on over the speakers on the playlist where I work. ❤️
