Book Review: FALLing

OMG this was just the sweetest friends-to-lovers story ever! I immediately fell in love with Constance, our snarky heroine whose life just imploded when her jerk of a boyfriend dumped her, admitted to cheating on her, and then kicked her out of her own apartment so that he could move his new squeeze into it. What’s a girl to do? It’s best friend Josh to the rescue! Connie and Josh have been super-close besties since they were little kids, but somehow have never made the leap to more than friends. Until now. Ultra-hottie Josh invites the now homeless Connie to come live in the spare bedroom in his apartment, and we all know how that will end up.

I loved watching the relationship between Connie and Josh grow as they both started to realize that the friendly, flirtatious banter they have always had might not be just friendly anymore. I enjoyed the ex-boyfriend getting the comeuppance that he deserved, although I still want more details on how he broke that leg. And I want to break the other one. And can I just say that I adore Nan and absolutely want her to be a part of my family! I love snickerdoodles and old ladies with no filters. 😊

I wish there had been more drama in the plot, because I am all about relationship angst and seeing each other through problems and turmoil and coming out stronger on the other end. But I do have to applaud the author for pretty much the best epilogue ever. It hit all of my favorite things about epilogues and left me with an enormous smile on my face when I closed the book. Overall, a strong 4-4.5 stars.

A huge thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this book for review.
