Book Review – The Club

The Club by Ellery Lloyd

This was one of those books that was a victim of my overscheduled February, so I wasn’t able to get it read and reviewed before its publication date on 3/1. But I’m so glad I was able to make the time for it eventually! Full of twists and turns and so many secrets, The Club takes you into the dark world of the super-rich and super-famous. Murder, betrayal, blackmail – this book has it all. It’s told in multiple points of view, which sometimes leaves me a bit confused, but the authors do a great job of keeping the individual stories flowing, and the news story which weaves through the book ties everything together (and kudos for giving us the “continued from page” hints so that those of us with older brain cells can flip back and remember where it left off).

I haven’t read a lot of mysteries or thrillers lately, so this was a nice change from my usual romance novels. Definitely give it a shot if you’re in the mood for a good page-turner.

⭐⭐⭐💫 (3.5/5)

Thank you to Harper Books for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
