ARC Review: Night & Day

Night & Day by Enni Amanda
Publication Date: 01 April 2022

Night & Day is the third installment of Enni Amanda’s Love New Zealand series, and it’s my favorite so far! When Mia, a girl from Finland on a round-the-world journey, gets robbed of all of her belongings in New Zealand, her last stop before heading home to her ordinary life and unfulfilling job and passionless relationship, her only hope of rescue comes from the reclusive Izzy, a man she only knows as a business contact from her job.

Izzy, still recovering from a great loss, has spent most of the past five years secluded in his home, going out into the world as infrequently as possible, his only regular companionship being his odd-bird housemate Deke, and the smooth-talking Casanova, Deke’s even more odd, well, bird.

Night & Day brings us everything we never knew we needed: a little fake dating, some sweet Spotify playlists (which I guess are the modern-day equivalent to our mix tapes), some swoony insta-love, a bearded caveman cinnamon roll hero, music, music, and more music, weird facts about glow worms, grand romantic gestures, and an African Grey parrot.

Although this is part of a series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone. It is only tangentially related to the other books, and you definitely won’t feel like you’re missing something if you don’t read the first two. But please do read those as well, because they are just as sweet as this one!!
