Best of 2021: Take Me With You When You Go

Coming in at number 4 on my list of the best books of the year is Take Me With You When You Go by David Levithan and Jennifer Niven.

While Levithan was a new author to me, I had read most of Niven’s books (and had my heart broken by her on numerous occasions – I still haven’t forgiven her for Breathless) and knew I was probably going to be an emotional wreck by the end. But this beautiful story of two siblings and hope and chosen family was just brilliant. I gifted it at Christmas and have recommended it many times. If you haven’t read it yet I urge you to pick it up the next time you’re at the bookstore or library.
