How do you rate the books you read?

Recently I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the star rating system that is the standard for our Booksta community. But I’ve become rather frustrated with the five-star scale, and I spend too much of my mental energy agonizing over the particulars of how to rate a given book.

SO. From this point forward, you won’t be seeing star ratings with my reviews. I just want to talk about books, not judge them with a rating that doesn’t fully encompass my feelings about them. But for my absolute favorite books, the ones that were previously five stars, I will be adding this new “jennesaisreads starred review” logo, because I still want some way to highlight the best of the best.
